What is Gouache?

Gouache is a water-based paint known for its rich pigmentation and soft, matte finish. While similar to watercolor, it offers greater opacity, allowing for layered depth and refined detail. Its versatility makes it ideal for capturing quiet atmospheres and subtle shifts in light that are central to my work.

Are the artwork images AI-generated or digitally altered?

No. All images on this website are photographs of the original hand-painted artwork. They are not AI-generated and are not digitally manipulated. Each piece is photographed in natural light to give you the most accurate representation of the painting’s true colors, texture, and size. The artworks are shown true to scale wherever specified.

Where do you find inspiration for your work?

My inspiration comes from my surroundings, travels, and visual narratives shared through the lenses of others. While living in British Columbia deeply influences my sensitivity to landscape and light, my work is not limited to a single place.

Landscape painting, for me, is a process of translation rather than replication. I interpret references whether observed firsthand or encountered through photography so they function as paintings rather than literal depictions. Each piece evolves through thoughtful composition, memory, and imagination, and is ultimately shaped by my palette and painterly language.

Do original paintings come framed?

Original artworks are sent unframed. Each piece is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely. Framing is a personal choice, and this allows collectors the freedom to select what best suits their space and aesthetic.

How do I care for original artwork, fine art prints, and other art products?

To preserve your artwork:

• Avoid direct sunlight and areas of high humidity

• Frame originals and prints behind glass (UV-protective glass is recommended)

• Keep artwork away from moisture and extreme temperature changes

• Handle with clean, dry hands

For other products such as magnets, gently wipe with a soft cloth. The surface is waterproof, as it has been properly varnished.

All artwork is carefully packed and shipped from New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, worldwide shipping is available. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and item size. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or VAT imposed by their country upon delivery.

Do I need to pay taxes on my order?

Prices listed on the website do not include sales tax. As a small supplier, we are not required to charge GST/HST at this time.

For international orders, any customs fees or import duties are determined by the destination country and remain the responsibility of the buyer. These charges are not included in the product or shipping cost.
